On Tuesday, October 17, 2017 Clayton High School held the annual powderpuff and like tradition the seniors beat out the rest of the classes. However, unlike tradition the freshman were able to go to the final match up against the seniors. In the end the the final scoring was  between freshman and juniors, and seniors and sophomores. Although the game was flag football there was still a lot of minor injuries reported, such as junior Jamari Cradle’s jammed finger.

This time of the year can be called an exciting time for as they are nearing the end of their high school career. We had the chance to interview Jamari Cradle who had this to say about the powderpuff game:

How do you feel being apart of powderpuff?

It gives me the chance to play with my peers. Especially this year since it’s the last year with coach Robbie. I’ll definitely miss our pre-practice donuts and our post game donuts.

How many years have you been apart of powderpuff?

I’ve done it for three years now.

Are you going to do it/keep doing it until senior year?

Probably because they’re like a family to me.

As one of the many events we hold for Clayton this one was well received and well anticipated. Many of the students are looking forward to this game next year as well as many other events that Clayton will hold. This may not be the biggest town but Clayton and our Comets are all in.
